Make Me An Instrument of Peace

Next, the prayer that has touched the entire world globally is by St. Francis Assisi.  He found peace with all of God’s creation, but animals really gave him the message of peace.  He loved being outside with nature and animals.  This is another way you may feel peace and want to explore the spirituality of God in your own place of beauty!

An Instrument of Peace

Lord, make me an instrument

OF YOUR PEACE,

Where there is hatred,

LET ME SOW LOVE;

When there is injury, PARDON;

Where there is doubt, FAITH;

Where there is despair, HOPE;

Where there is darkness, LIGHT;

Where there is sadness, JOY.

O Divine Master, grant that I may seek

Not so much to be consoled as to console,

To be understood as to understand,

TO BE LOVED AS TO LOVE.

For it is in giving that we receive,

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

And it is in dying that we are born to

ETERNAL LIFE.

——St. Francis

Dear God, do what only you can do, because “I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me.”  You know, apart from you I can do nothing.  Let the world know that we can have PEACE ON EARTH!!!  Amen.

The following poem hopefully will inspire you to visit this web page as often as your thirst and hunger for peace cries out. The author of this poem was a trailblazer for the reality of peace and a restful life lived in peace herself.  I’m humbled by the words expressed by Helen Steiner Rice’s legacy, and I’m thankful that I can share her words again and again.  Surely, you will want to view and soak in more poetic readings of this type.  I believe you will distinctly, feel the “MAJESTIC WONDER” of peace within.

I. Prayers of Peace:   By Helen Steiner Rice (“A Book of Prayer,” Compiled by Virginia J. Ruehlmann, Published by Fleming H. Revell, ISBN 0-0807-1707-4)

“Blessed too [are] the peacemakers.”  Matthew 5:9 NAB

“Peace is available to most, but achieved and accepted by too few.  The seasons, location, wealth, and nationality are not the deciding factors; peace comes from within and is dependent upon your willingness to forgive, your capability to control bitterness, and your ability to trust and to look beyond the present, and your adeptness for encouraging and possessing agape love.”

    Peace of mind is a healthy state of being.  Peace (Shalom) with God teaches us how to live a life of wholeness, health, wealth and prosperity. More than anything, at this stage of her life, she desires to share her gifts of love, encouragement, helps, administration and giving, by humbly serving in the kingdom.  Here on earth, let her be a woman of God, “CALLED AND SENT,” proclaiming and demonstrating how to live peaceful with all God’s children, Jews and Gentiles united as ONE!!!  “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the Children of God.”  Jesus (A.D. 1st century).  Matthew 5:9 (KJV)

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
